Recommended 1.25" Erecting prism?

Seems to be a few out there and reviews seem to vary wildly. Any of you guys recommend a good one? its for a 6" SCT

I have the Skywatcher and the William Optics 45° erecting diagonals which I have used in refractors and a 5" Mak. The Skywatcher is okay but the WO one gives a better image in my opinion. I only use them for daytime viewing though as they dim the image slightly (compared to an ordinary prism or mirror)- which is to be expected given the extra number of prism surfaces.

Ah i see, that's what some of the reviews said also, would you say it's basically pointless using one for night viewing?

It is really. The supplied 90 degree star diagonal gives an upright image anyway but left and right are reversed.

Maybe not totally pointless, but it is less than optimal, so unless you have a desperate need for the image to be correct left and right, I wouldn't bother.

Ok thanks alot, might be worth just putting the money towards a new eyepiece.
