have i been sent the wrong adapter for the SPC900???

Recommended Posts

Hi i just got my SPC900 adapter for straight through finders but can not find any way to attatch it to the SPC900? it fits fine into the end of the SW 9x50 finder but i cant find no way to put the SPC900 into it?

on the adapter it says "Finder/Guider adapter - Skywatcher to C" so im thinking bernard from Modern asttronomy has maybe sent me the wrong one?

can any one shed any light on this?

Doesn't look like the right one to me, either.

I had a feeling that the SPC adaptor had an M12 thread on the back to fit the camera without a nosepiece, but otherwise I'd expect it to be a 1.25" nosepiece fitting.

I just looked. Thats definitely not the one you wanted for a straight thru scope with a 1.25 nosepiece. Have them send you one for a 1.25 fitting nosepiece like what's on your cam right now. I would call and explain to them what you have exactly.

I'm not at all certain the 1.25" nosepiece adapter one is right either.  I think that might not reach focus.  I don't know why but I have a vague idea that the one for the SPC900 has a male M12 thread on the back to fit the same thread that the camera nosepiece screws into.
