Is something wrong, don't think so!!!!

Recommended Posts

Right then folks, went out the other night, but no matter what I did I couldn't get a sharp view of ANYTHING. Now yes it was a little muggy up there but surely not enough to spoil the whole night. So, come to the conclusion that something is wrong, probably with my collimation. So I'm going to take this one step at a time. Looking at my secondary through my colli cap (see photo) I reckon it's pretty bang on, certainly enough for visual. Can anyone confirm or poo poo my opinion. If I'm correct then I'll move onto the primary, If not then I'll remedy the secondary problem and take it from there. Cheers folks.

Yes I do but at the moment I'm purely concentrating on secondary position and alignment. I have placed a piece of coloured card between secondary and primary.

Yes of course, there is no spider showing  It does look a bit off to me

Even if it was off, that wouldn't give you fuzzy images, just oddly shaped ones. It doesn't take much of a change in seeing and transparency to ruin the views. As in, a bit of a change can make a massive difference. Don't underestimate it.
