Llyn Brenig Stargazing Event 8th March 2014

Hi all, just picked up a flier for this (have requested PDF to share here) - accessable for beginners I think (equipment will be provided to share), which is great and café will be open :-).  http://www.llynbrenig.co.uk/whats-on. The darkest of dark skies and what a setting! Cant wait! 

Our static is available (£60 for weekend) if anyone wants to stay, we are about 15 mins away. And if anyone wants to camp in our garden free, your welcome and good luck in this weather!!!

Not sure who runs it but the manageress (my husband sometimes works there) says that are great.... Will find out. I am very excited! Apparently they set up on the lake shore next to cafe.... And it is a very elevated site.

Wish I could attend but sons have their bday events that weekend.  See there is another event in September, which may be warmer too......

Brilliant! Completely clear skies, mild evening, great cafe and kind hosts from north wales astronomy club and others. Such a Difference having knowledgable ones nearby to ask ' excuse me,but what is that grouping called.'........ And a very knowledgable (and patient!) Graham astronomically entertaining the children (I was secretly listening, about my level! Roll on september
