Case for telescope and parts

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I'm looking at the Peli 1450 which will be able to store a WO ZS 71ED (the 1450 is just the right size for this), diagonal and few other bits and pieces of equipment. It's a £100~ case however the cost of the equipment I think probably justifies it, especially for transporting.

I'm just curious if anyone knows of competing cases with similar qualities/specifications? Dust/water proof and generally indestructible? Also if anyone has this type of case or similar if the price is definitely worth it.

There have been a few questions about cases recently. The links below come ready with the compacted foam for you to cut to suit your own needs.

This is one site http://www.cases-and...x295x270mm.html but they seem to be out of stock.

And this one that someone told me about http://www.gemred.co...x295x270mm.html may be down at the moment as it's asking for login details.

Both are surprisingly cheap for what the are.

Hi, FLO, the forum sponsers do a couple of rigid flight cases, this one might be suitable: http://www.cases-and...x295x270mm.html but they seem to be out of stock.

Thanks, they (first one in particular) seam to have a lot of good options, they look. The flight cases look decent especially for larger items. I noticed they also do more protective cases similar to peli cases a lot cheaper too http://www.cases-and-enclosures.co.uk/hurricane-equipment-cases/hurricane-case-361-5x269-5x168-5mm.html

I'll definitely take a look at what they have :)
