m81 & Supernova SN2014J in M82

not a great image if i am honest. taken with the celestron 80ed+focal reducer 12x5mins + darks 

 

i think it may take a while to get used to this scope, after my 200PDS which gives a "sharper" looking image. very pleased though to capture my 1st supernova and have the added bonus of being able to compare last years M82 to this one

i do like it, id be happy if it were mine, what iso did you use for a 5min sub and what camera?

thanks for posting! Was absolutely gutted as there was no chance in hell of me seeing this because of clouds. So I was hoping some may have imaged it!

the iso setting was 800, which i use for most of my imaging. i was hoping to have another go tonight, but its looking a little grim! but the forecast is hopefuly better later in the week.
