Help with CG5! Alt bolt wont move!

The rear Alt adjuster seems to have jammed on my CG5 mount! I can move it half a turn and then it jams. The other bolt is completely removed!

Any ideas anyone?

Hi Danny sounds like it needs a little bit of wd 40 or similar sprayed on only needs a little and then you say you can turn it half a turn, do this and leave it a few minutes, then spray a little more on and turn it back the half a turn just to get the lubricant around the thread, just check if it's not bent whilst turning the bolt ,should free it up a little but try not to force it just nice and easy. Just a quick thought try doing it without any scope or counter weights on as not to put undue stress on the bolt

It feels more serious - I'm straining the bolt so much to move it I think it may snap

if cg5 has the same design as eq5, this means your alt bolt is bent. They tend to do that. google for eq5 bent altitude screw or something. There are modding / repair instructions available. Also try to pull the mount to a higher altitude by hand to take the strain off the bolt before turning it.
