Following an excellent lecture on the Curiosity mission that we had at the Flamsteed Astro Soc this week from Prof Sanjeev Gupta, I just thought I'd pass along a link to some of the amazing pics that they are receiving from Curiosity each day.

In particular, the Nav cam is a stereoscopic camera, and if you view images like this one with a pair of the older-style red/green filter 3D specs, then the pictures are truly astounding:

Red filter to your left eye, green to the right, and you'll need to sit quite far back in your chair to see it, but when you do see it, wow !  Works best with the middle distance view shots like the above.
