Skywatcher Focuser on a GSO/Altair Astro Newt

As per the title has anyone ever attached a skywatcher newt focuser onto a gso/Altair astro newt

Jake,

The baseplate of the SW focuser is larger than the GSO focuser and will require new fixing holes to be drilled, the original holes should be covered by the larger "footprint" of the replacement..

You also need to check the curved radius of the baseplate - you may need an adaptor to suit your OTA curve.
