My first Prime Focus Widefield Shots

Recommended Posts

At first i was only thinking that a few shots of the moon would be possible tonight as it's pretty fuggy out there - lots of dew forming after only about an hour! But I thought I'd have a go at a couple of wide field shots just to see what the results would look like - more to test the camera out more than anything about getting a good image, but i was pleasantly surprised by the results :D

Both shots were taken at ISO 1600 with a 30 sec exposure. The first image is i think centred on Mirphak while the second is part of the perseus double cluster.

All comments more than welcome.
