Eqmod not compatible with Celestron CGEM.

I have a Celestron CGEM mount which I use Starry Night Pro 6 Plus to control, but my astro friends love Eqmod with their Skywatcher kit, is it true Eqmod is not compatible with Celestron mounts?, their not to sure.

EQMOD only works with Skywatcher Synscan equatorial or the Orion equivalent mounts.
