Appears to completely useless...unless like me you sit on it facing the back. Try it without the optional upgrade. Not only will you be able to rest the arms, but a foot can be rested on the cross bar at the base. Total cost 1 bolt, wing nut and a bit of ply. Nick.

Excellent !

I could never get much comfort and felt that £10 had been wasted on something that I continually fell over in the dark. For us refractor users seating is an absolute must !

I was thinking of somewhere to stick my pencil. The rhs is handy for drawing. I'm going to get some footrests to keep the feet off the cold ground and perhaps some wheels for 4x4 use instead of dragging it around.
