DSOs in twilight tonight

Tried for new nova in Serpens tonight by offsetting from tiny Venus [below] but sky too bright @ 4.30PM for nova and so far no stars recorded in area but will look further at images.

Used next 30min on planetaries M27 [below] in 20s and 60s and later M57. It's amazing what can be recorded in a bright dusk sky - used my SX Lodestar-C cam on 30cm f/2.8 Meade SCT ;-\

Hi Maurcie M27 is amazing, especially if it was dusk and London skies!!!Paul

Thanks Paul - on this occasion under twilight condition', LP had no effect. However had to use the Lodestar s/ware white-balance option otherwise the sky would have been overpowering bright blue - instead of the orange skies when dark and light polluted :-)
