Got to see Jupiter for the first time with the Heritage 130p tonight, a gap in the clouds.

Outside the front so right near the nearest LED lamp, almost sitting right under it, but hunkering down in porch getting as much borrowed protection.

Really suprised, with the 16mm Maxvision, only 40.6x mag, could make out 4 moons but surpising (well I think so) I could make out two central bands.

The supplied 10mm just showed a circular planet with no detail.

Next must get around to making my shroud, got the stuff for it, and collimate the scope as it is slightly out. My viewing area in the eyepeice is much smaller now then previous use earlier in the year.

Fat chance of seeing M42 first I looked in the wrong place, lol, second the secondary getting almost full onslaught from the LED lamp.

Very pleased though
