Hyperstar LP Filters & Dark Skies

Hi guys

I have just ordered myself a 2" IDAS D1 LP Filter that will fit inside my hyperstar and hopefully help my QHY8L with some of the LP that i'm stuck with in the south of London. Before you all jump in i realize that it won't eliminate all the LP but i figured it will help at least a little.

I'm gearing myself up is such a way now that i intend to do more dark site visits so i'm wondering......

In a dark star site is there any harm in leaving the filter inside the hyperstar? In a very dark star site do you get to a point were you could potentiially loose good light by leaving it in?

I want to disturb the hyperstar as little as possible once its set

Did you consider the IDAS D1 vs. the P2 filters?
