Light Pollution Reduction Filter - Which & How?!

PhotoGav

Recommended Posts

I would like to introduce a light pollution reduction filter into my set-up. I'm imaging from my back garden on the edge of a small-ish market town and there is a significant orange glow to my subs as I up the exposure time. I'm hoping that an LPR would help to eliminate that.

So, which is the best value filter? (I am prepared to spend what is required on a good piece of kit, but can't afford to go to the silly money end of the scale and, linking in with another thread out there, the missus is abroad at the moment, so I've got a chance to Astro-purchase with no questions!!).

My set-up is an SW80ED-Pro, with SW FF/R and a canon 60d. Where in the optical path does the filter screw in?

Look forward to your help & advice.
