Beautiful earlier , (guests meant couldn't get out till 11) then out (decided little Tal tonight)  it went cloudy straight away, one hour later clear, out again and managed an hour till cloud again. Still decided not to stress and to do the simple stuff, Jupiter, afew doubles then orion for most of the hour, UHC and others , then clear with 288x on the trap , couldn't get e or f until I dropped to 134x mag, then both. Success for the first time (with the little 115mm Tal). These Russians make a nice scope and so comfy to use sitting down. Back to Jupiter and finally the moon(still a little bobly low down but nice at  107x , all along the terminus.

Sorry to cotterless for not popping up as promised but the on off cloud and later start than expected put pay to that.

Nice report, sometimes lower mags work better
