Difference EQ3-2 vs CG4

Hello, whats the difference between those both mounts?

They do look similar to me.

And since they do look similar can I use upgrades for EQ3 to mod the CG4?

E.g. Motor drives, synscan gear?

I seem to recall that there were discussions in CN that CG4 owners upggraded their mounts with EQ3 synscan without problem (can't find the page now though), according to TS

the short answer is yes. The cg4 has slightly better bearings and a better tripod but otherwise they're the same

There are no major differences to the mounts except possibly the bearings. Mine has eq3 2 synscan motors and polarscope.
