Does it get any better?

After three weeks of clouds and rain the skies cleared right out with astonishing views of Jupiter and Orion. Checking out Jupiter (blue filter helps) and Orion's nebula with my 8" Skywatcher made me weak in the knees! Even with a 3/4 moon everything was clear and the skies seem blacker this time of year ( or is this imagination?) love this hobby!

Fantastic, Sounds like it was well worth the wait! Well I got up early this morning to do a bit of comet watching but alas, lots of cloud....there's always tomorrow.

Acey-we've got weather typical of November here in Quebec, heavy cloud cover and wind. To have it all lift around midnight and to have some of our most famous targets lying there is quite a thrill,again what a difference the new scope makes, m42 through a 15 mm plossl?!

I can imagine through a better EP, SANTA'S coming!
