Help on Pic ID

Hi all I took some pics this morning 5am Doncaster Yorkshire of Jupiter with a Canon 600d there is a green shape above jupiter I have no idea what it is can someone please enlighten me.

On a more serious note I think its just a lens flare.

Is it on the other images? It looks corkscrew in shape, where as the stars have a little trailing....weird!

it's on about 20 consecutive shots slightly moved the camera a couple of times and it's still there. I guess it must be lens flare just looks weird and it like it's moving in the pics, Before anyone ask's I hadn't been drinking lol

From my experience of being a photographer i would mostly say that is a lens flare but it is rather strange as lens flare is usually equal not like that..

It doesn't look like any sort of lens flare ive ever seen. I'd say it is something on the lens/sensor of the camera. Something larger then just a spec of dust. Maybe a small thread or something larger.

I have double checked the lens and camera can't see no dust specs or thread, and it's never shown up before or since, I guess it was just something that'll never be explained.
