What IS the Sun doing?

Here are some graphs with the Solar Activity, I'm quite confused as to what it's doing at the moment. Why is it so steady? Anyone got any idea?

The data is for the X-Ray band so not visual and one of the graphs covers only 5 hours. A 5 hour period isn't a great deal for an object that has been in existance for 4.5 billion years. What or how many events are expected every 5 hours ?

Even the big timescale one is for 3 days, a sunspot cycle is 11 years.

Cannot see what numerous events you are expecting in 3 days or 5 hours, also why the X-Ray output?

If X-Ray output is associated with CME's then they do not occur constantly.

Sorry but the timescales are so short I cannot see what the term "so steady" refers to.
