North American neb

With the clouds at bay, tonights viewing was inspiring to say the least.Crisp and colder than expected(-12'c) the sky gave up some great treasures and this was the first time the NA neb was actually bright & "in your face"-well at least part of it.The edge around the gulf stood out amazingly with the OIII and my 23mm Luminos, but when deep in the nebula the effect was diminished. The 17mm Ethos felt a little too constricted, not providing a big enough FOV for the necessary contrast.I also caught some patches of nebulosity slightly off the brightest parts of the NAN.Over to the Veil, the 23mm caught Pickerings wisp, but the 17mm Ethos actually showed the triangle very well, with strings and patches all over the place in between NGC 6960 & 6992.Great night, but tomorrow has a better transparency forecast
