"Snake" Neckpod?

Hi all,

whilst browsing Steve's BinocularSky site came across the neckpod means of supporting binoculars. In the ensuing browse on the net for similar products/prices etc - came across this curiosity.

Its obviously a serious bit of kit and not what I would call cheap, but it cerainly made me smile. I could  imagine a mishap with a heavyish pair of binos attached. Local news paper reads "Astronomer strangled by snake" or something similar.

Seriously - I can kind of  imagine the flexible nature of this being adapted for  working with binos - but round the neck?

Why not, you could try your shoulder of course.

It reminds me of some contraption I once saw in a Sky at Night special.

I believe it was the telescope for Christmas edition, but to sure I have to delve into the electronic archives.
