making a mask....

well with the superb skies we are getting at the moment and dropping on some thin metal plate I'm goin to make my mask. Thinking along the lines of two holes,one 190mm and perhaps 150mm does this sound ok? please don't be afraid to point me in the right direction.

Also interested in this, I made a cardboard mask last winter it convinced me that masks work but I need to make something that will last!

You might be better off trying a Y mask if you can cut the metal yourself. It might yield better results than two circles. Some prefer bhatinov masks but can be fiddly to construct especially from sheet metal.

Apologies I may be mis understanding why you want to make a mask? Is it for focus or to reduce the aperture of your scope?
