Does anyone think it maybe possible to see LADEE as it goes around the moon?

Of course with a scope if we know its course, or will it be ro small to make out?

I'm thinking if you look at the moon at the right time you might see a bright light go past....just a thought

I think it unlikely. It will orbit at an altitude of only 50km, and is only 2x1x1 metres. If we could see it, then we'd also be able to see the Apollo landers, and we can't! I suppose you might see it if the sun flashed off one of the panels.

I managed to see the ISS tool bag that was dropped by a space walking astronaut a couple of years back. That was small and covered in reflective material but only 200 - 270 miles up rather than 250,000 miles away !
