What type of mount?

Hi all,

I'm wondering what type of mount I should get for my observatory pier.

If I were to get an 11" sct with a 80mm or above refractor attached and wanted to do imaging with a ccd

or dslr what mount would I need?

Would an Neq6 do the job or would I need the new Eq8 or something else?

The other question would be what do I need to do to attach the mount to the pier? i.e. I have a pier-tech3 pier and I'm not sure how or what adapter plate I would need to use etc and if the holes line up. Sorry this

is all new to me.

I had a 12" SCT with an 80mm finder on a NEQ6 and that worked well for visual and lunar and planetary imaginging. A large SCT is not usually recommended for DSO imaging though.
