Radio Jove

Hi,

i have started this thread to discuss anything related to Radio Jove. This incredibly impressive kit from the USA is capable of picking up Jupiter radio signals and solar flares and works at around 20MHZ.

Please talk about your Radio Jove here or ask questions about the radio telescope.

Are people outside the US eligible to take part?

Absolutely - you buy the kit from US and then set it up in your backyard - I took one to PSP last year.....it might even appear on the next BBC Sky at Night programme as they are doing a review of PSP.

You learn a lot about electronics in the process of putting the kit together - helps to get someone who knows how to solder to give you advice if you are not experienced yourself - and Radio Jove provide excellent email based support.
