Celestron 127EQ slo mo cable issue.

I just put together my scope and my declination slo mo cable only goes about 10 degrees either way. Is this normal or what's the solution to get this fixed? It's a bit frustrating and I know at least one other person who is having this issue. Thanks ahead of time!

Just to clarify the problem, is it the cable that only rotates 10 degrees each way and not the mount in dec axis ?

This is correct operation, not a fault.

The dec slow-mo only moves over a 30 deg range and should not be "forced" beyond this or damage will occur.

Range of adjustment should be +/- 15 deg maximum.

To move more than this you set the slow-mo to mid position, then loosen the Dec locking knob and point the telescope roughly on target, lock the knob again, now use the slow-mo for fine adjustment.
