Tonights weather

Just been checking round the weather forums and its looking good down this way for tonight after 21.00

We've had a cold front going through as well so the seeing should be good.. might be worth dusting the scope down and popping out for an hour or two as the long range forecast doesnt look so good.

Yep, just checked it Ian and it could be good a bit later for an hour or two. Might even get to use your old 3.5mm Hyperion tonight!!

Mars I take it?? I think I'm going to try and hunt a couple of globular's or have a look around to the east.. with the ZS66

Maybe . I'll have a go and see what I can get out of it. Other than that it'll be nice just to get out and use the eyes for something other than looking as screens. I've hardly done any observing over the last few weeks.

Yep - its partly cloudy in Nottingham at the mo but clear skies later - lets hope Mars is better tonight!

Well against all odds, i had 3-4 hrs on Monday and tonight another few hrs, clear and good seeing except for a few clouds that drifted over fast.

I'm not complaining, got to do some autoguiding setup and testing, so i'm pleased.

Nice in Dorset too, most surprising. That comet won't fit in the camera field any more but it's a lot fainter.

Looks like we could wait a while for the next chance.

Well it wasnt to bad, but the "seeing" on mars was terrible, it was dancing about all over the place just using the relatively low power of the zs66 and a 9mm so I didnt bother getting the C5 out..

Had some fun just hoping about with the ZS though and the 19mm panoptic..
