Aquila , into the Eagle.

Recommended Posts

The last 4 nights have started fine, but after a few hours clag at high level has floated in. Aquila is getting nicely high in the East and it was an opportunity to hunt for some small , shy planetary nebulae and clusters.

NGC6709 is a wonderful open cluster at x40.

NGC6738 is very open.

NGC6755 was faint and open in the light glow just adjacent to NGC6756.

NGC6760 is a medium globular cluster set in a good field.

I spotted a few planetaries by changing focus and moving the fov including

NGC6751,6772,6790 (which blinked),6778,6781, NGC6804 Lhs of a field of stars same fov as 6803,

NGC6807 and IC4846.

Finished up with NGC7662 "The Blue Snowball", spottable with colour and as non stellar at x40 , then just crank it up. Just a wonderful showstopper for which we'd like more

clear skies,

Nick.
