Qhy8l help

Recommended Posts

Hello all

i am using a qhy8l using neb v3.1

i am struggling to find the correct settings

i am looking to setup a bias and have been told to set the histogram between 100 - 1000 (-20 temp )

close I got to was offset 111 gain at 8 I think

when I tried my flats ( point at sky t-shirt over it ) I couldn't get the histogram to reduce from 6545.

The lowest was 0 all the titime any advice

Hi there,

Your manual shows you how to set your gain & offset. If you are using any filters, these must be fitted prior to the test.

Try these links on setting up your QHY8L

Sorry for not replying sooner, work seems to always get in the way.

My gain & offset settings are currently 8 & 119 on my QHY8pro.

I used the foolowing link to set my gain & offset, it's more in-depth than the QHY manual but it worked for me.

Can you explain how you took your flats. What time of day, exposure time etc.. Try to give as much information as you can, so we can determine your problems.

Are your colour images ok?

cheers

Steve
