Flocking the focuser tube.....

Recommended Posts

I'm going to have a go at flocking several of my scopes soon, and am not sure whether to bother with the focuser tube on my Astrotech 106. The tube has fine baffles all the way down inside but is not a particularly dark grey. So, would flocking help or do the baffles do a good enough job themselves?

Cheers

Stu

If you gaze down the tube at a torch which shines only on the side of the tube and cannot see light reflected, then I would not bother. If there is reflected light then flocking should suppress it.
