Strange that Kepler is looking for planets and that then becomes aliens/life without any particular connection. Kepler can see something the size of a planet, not something a bit smaller like a human or even elephant sized lump of life on one.

It has been on 2 minutes now and suddenly kepler is looking for life, but it is not it is looking for something a bit bigger - a planet around a sun.

Planet hunting is not identifing life on a distant planet.

I know it makes it more attractive to talk about alien life but we are not down to that level yet.
