Processed the video in PIPP, stacked in RG 6 and final image in PS.

I'm still don't know which method I like better, but I can tell you that with the powermate the image is brighter and a little bit sharper but the RGB balance is horrible.

With the 2X barlow stacked on a 3X the image is dimmer but I cant see any aberration.

Man, I'm so glad you did this comparison. I was considering either buying the 5x Powermate or use what I already have, the 2x Barlow and the 3x zoom of my camera. Your Powermate image is brighter but the Barlow image is good also.

Man, I'm so glad you did this comparison. I was considering either buying the 5x Powermate or use what I already have, the 2x Barlow and the 3x zoom of my camera. Your Powermate image is brighter but the Barlow image is good also.

If you are using the 3X digital zoom on your camera it's not going to help. You will need another 3X barlow to get a decent image.
