May 14, morning session: quite quiet in H-alpha

Recommended Posts

I just set up the H-alpha scope at work, and I must say after all the splendid fireworks of the last few says, the view was a bit disappointing. Two large sunspots of the current crop of big ARs were showing, and some interesting bright and dark structures surrounded them, but in terms of prominences it was almost eerily quiet. A little, very thin arc showed up on the eastern limb, and a few small ones on the western side, but that was it. I may have another look come lunch time
