My first DSLR & Guided image

Hi all, this is my first image taken with my new 300D & also my first guided image.

M45 nebula.

1x5min dark, 8x5min lights, taken with ED80 pro, 300D, & guided on HEQ5 pro with WO66SD + DSI +PHD.

Clear skies

That is a mighty good effort Brett. You will get some good advice on how to improve I am sure.

Steve has made a great improvement, as you can see. I personally can't advise any tweaks, but stand by, there are many experts on SGL,

and they are a lot better than books. :(

Thanks Steve :D i dont mind at all, how many darks would you say i needed?

Ron, i used ISO 800 on the dark frame & lights.

The image looks loads better on deepsky stacker, but i had to resize the image & post in jpeg, so i guess

thats why the image lost alot of detail :D it was a very big file :(
