Trying to set up my new NEQ6 I need the transit time of polaris. Using the usno site the days date and month is shown and I enter London as location . My location is 51.7519N 0.3395 W but when I enter 51N no mins or sec and .33W no mins or sec with 24hr time the result is I have entered info incorrectly. Any ideas

Polarfinder is also available as an app. I have it installed on my android phone. Looks like an iphone version is also being developed. Well worth the pennies, I use it every session to polar align.

Think that is a different programme. I have both and personally find Jason Dales much simpler and easier to use.

You could consider a bit of software called Alignmaster, which takes all the hassle out of polar alignment. It's about £15 but there is a free demo to try.

I find it fantastically accurate and easy to use.

Typed by me on my fone, using fumms... Excuse eny speling errurs.
