Saturn (DSLR)

Recommended Posts

I know, I know, DSLRs are for not good for planetary imaging. Still, I had a go at imaging Saturn just now with the DSLR, and I think it went quite well, all things considered.

It's not much, but it's my first, so I'm happy (:

It's clearly Saturn, so well done :)

I'd be tempted to use the RAW image rather than the JPEG, use the Canon utilities to turn the RAW into a TIFF, crop it down to get rid of lots of the space and then load it into Registax and do an RGB align on it. Save it as a PNG after processing too. JPEG is horrible really.
