No not cheap but it's probably part of the future for amateur astronomy.

Does anyone know if it can be used for guiding? A much cleaner setup if it can.

I'm not sure about that, while recently visiting my clan in Hornsey north London, I've been surprised at what I can see now a lot of LED lights have gone in. And the camera will be more sensitive than the number 1s.
