recceranger
Seeing a lot of good advertisement about the new I,Optron Sky Tracker. Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on if its worth the purchase or would it not be tenable to spend the hard earned cash on an iOptron Cube-PRO Portable GOTO Telescope Mount with GPS?The former product requires a solid camera mount, ball head and is restricted to use with a DSLR and the latter is good to go with no additional purchase required. The mount can take up to 5KG, more than enough for an 80mm with DSLR and can be used for AP or direct observation. In addition the mount is light and portability is easy.Maybe I'm missing a trick here but as both products come in at around £400 is seems odd anyone would go for the Sky Tracker.Rick
JB80
Simply put, portability. If that isn't something that you really need then the Cube is the way to go.
