Skywatcher NEQ6 and AZ Dob handsets. Are they the same?

They both have the DB9 connector on them. Are they one and the same handset hardware? Could I swap one for the other does anyone know? Have not done so just in case the wiring is different and I damage something! Unlikely since it is a RS232 interface - serial - but interested to know in case I can realize £80 by flogging one

If the handset is a v3 then you can reflash it with the latest firmware which works with all Skywatcher goto mounts. I don't know if the cable is the same for the the two mounts though, I suspect it might be.

I have an NEQ6 Synscan and a SW Skytrac (non goto handset) alt-az and I was wondering the same thing; I wanted to try the Synscan on the alt-az but don't want to blow anything up.
