Slop in Skywatcher Dob GoTo

Anyone else notice this - it ruins the telescope, which is optically wonderful. There is almost a full field of view movement in the altitude axis even with a 35mm EP before the slack in the gears is taken up. I have tightened up the clutch nut as much as is possible. Unless I can sort this out I am going to remove the GoTo bits completely and sell them and turn the scope into a manual Dob.

I actually like manual - it is much nicer and more fun than I imagined. Again, ruined by the slack in the gears  Can press the tube down against the slack a full FoV before it "takes".
