my attempt at panstarrs

Recommended Posts

thanks fellas,

last week I brought the telescope outside town to try and capture it, after everything was set up, ready to slew the scope, I checked in the binos for its position and it was just about to be covered in clouds, Pointless, grrrrrrr.

so I went and bought a zoom lense for my camera, which just as well I captured it after buying the lense, but last night I was going out with the scope and tried it again and success.

Well done, nice tail detail. I shot it tonight with a 450d as well, but couldn't see much of the tail - darker skies in Sligo than Manchester?

Sligo is a hell of a lot smaller than Manchester, but still big enough to create serious light pollution, for imaging the comet I drove a few miles west of sligo town to Rosses point a sea side village, much better skies
