Should my RGB histogram look like this?

Don't panic I intend to take a lot more subs but...

Check out the Red! I'm using an unmodded 1100d with an Astronomik clip in filter. Does that account for the "lacking" red?

I often find the histogram is not aligned. Becomes part if the processing to align them to get a good colour balance. I couldn't say if the clip filter is affecting it, my gut feel is yes.

Since ive been using he clip filter m blue and green are always way over o the right with the red squashed up to the left, in PS I align them then start stretching, works out ok

Good luck. I called it a night, just couldn't get my focus sorted and I'm a little knackered from my ride earlier.

Shows the difference depending on target . I am trying to image the Christmas tree with ed80 an unmodded 1100d (no filter) but my histograms in BYEOS are the exact mirror image of yours

Something novel just happened. What with the target being low and getting lower a tree came into shot and all of a sudden I got star trailing!

I dont think it has come out too bad. Only managed 32 x 2 min lights before it went too low. It started low down as it was!

That's the bubble alright. Nicely done, some nice detail showing through for 'short' subs. I like the framing as well.

Thanks mate. I will venture into guiding at some point when I decide on the best way forward in order to get longer subs!
