Imaging scale?

Recommended Posts

Hi all:

Hoping to get out and try imaging again as soon as it warms up a bit more here. I am using a 9.25 SCT, a DBK21 and a 3x Barlow. My understanding is that I could increase the planet's image size if I place another Barlow (with no glass in it) between the 3x Barlow and the camera(?) If this is true, how much more could the image scale be increased?

Thank you again for your help

Cheers

Roger

Hi, that's correct as long as it is a barlow rather than telextender or powermate. The extra image scale depends on the actual distance you get between the barlow and chip but another ~1x is typical.
