so after an afternoon chopping,drilling,screwing and tweeking i now have a shake free base..... thats too big to fit in the box

the final mod to the base was to fit some chain to hold the legs so as not to strain the ep tray spider screws.

the scope now stands at around 5ft and i dont have to bend down so far to look up.

I'd put some lower stretchers in myself , or make it lower and sit . . .

But as my pier's fourteen foot tall I can't really comment . . .

it has a 3way chain stretcher about a foot up the legs with adjustable tension by pulling up at the mid point, you can just see it in the 3rd pic

will this break my mount? its only an az3 but with the scope mounted like this it doesn't fall forwards or backwards.
