No advice on your question mate, but just wanted to say I had a look on your website and love your images!! Great to know what can be achieved with the 450D which is what I'm using!

Thanks, you should see the amount of exposures that never get used  , got myself an Ha filter now so hopefully I can expand somewhat.., not sure I will ever get a CCD as I really like my Cannon and am so used to it...

There are plenty of online photo printers. Most of the big retailers have sites, although many are serviced by the same back end. I have used bootsphoto.com with no problems. Most will need the image converted to a JPEG though.

I've used, and am very happy with.....http://www.dscolourlabs.co.uk/

To save you searching here is the colour profiles page......http://www.dscolourlabs.co.uk/tech_support.cfm

Read up and learn about these profiles as they're the ones used on the Fuji printers.

Dave.

Interesting thread - I've also been looking into getting a few big prints made of my astro-images. I've been linking up with Digitalab http://www.digitalab.co.uk/ for a few weeks now, they have been extremely helpful and have already sent me two free sets of sample prints from images I provided, so that they could illustrate the differences in the prints they offer - they also specialize in Fuji laser printers and the latest sample set they sent me on FujiFlex Hi-Gloss were simply stunning - very sharp and fantastic colours. They also sent me free samples of mounting boards as well for the prints, their Foamex and Foamboards. If you're interested, ask for Chris, he's the chap that's been helping me.
