wixey digitial angle guage for dob,s

sorry to trouble you guys but has anyone used one of thease on ther dobs to help with incline.

Yep, I use a digital angle gauge and this, combined with the Alt/Az settings provided in Stellarium gets me pretty much on target. I think quite a few other astronomers use them as well.

I've got one, but don't use it very much any more. Wixey + iPhone = GOTO. Very handy, you can find targets very quickly.

I got one as well , handy when you can't locate a particular object , again I use it alongside stellarium.

I use one with Skysafari and must say it transforms a nights viewing. It must save hours of searching. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the hunt, as long as I find it in the end!!! But using the Wixey , a software programme and Dob circle makes viewing a pleasure. Can't imagine life without it now, especially on these rare nights when we get out!!!!

Me too, used to get pretty disheartened not finding things, its transformed my dob!

As an aside to the main question, I used to be mainly a planet viewer but since the wixey mods and finding M13 with it I find I'm much more open to clusters and nebs!
