Guide scope - Celestron Travel Scope 70

Hi guys,

I was thinking of buying the SW ST80 for use as a guidescope on my Equinox ED80 but as I already have the Celestron Travel Scope 70 I was wondering if anyone has used it for guiding?

Also, the Travel Scope has a small dovetail....what would be the easiest way to attach it to the SW tube rings on my Equinox ED80?

I can't see why it wouldn't work. I think it has a very slightly narrower field of view than the ST80, but not enough to make it significantly more difficult to find a guide star.

Plenty good enough for guiding , I use a 70/500 with the Synguider with no problems ( picked up for £20)

Got to be better than using a 9x50 Finderscpoe surely .

Thanks guys, I'm assuming any old guide scope rings will fit to the Skywatcher rings I have for my Equinox?
