Andromeda

2nd night out with the DSI, I took Andromeda last night and posted the results in the help section.

Tonight I went out again and took 39 1 min subs and 11 darks. Combined in DSS stacker and played about with in Photoshop.

I am a bit happier with tonights effort, this needs LOADS more exposure and I suppose the subs should be longer as well but I dont think my overloaded EQ5 can really do any longer!

Still cannot get the colour correct, but overall for my 3rd image from the camera I am pretty pleased, you can at least see the makings of a dust lane or 2

I just did auto levels auto contrast and played about with highllight/shadow. I think this looks better, which is a shame as I thought i was getting somewhere with the image editing

when i first got the dsi pro, M31 was the second thing i tried to image, after the ring. I havnt attempted it since as i realised just how flipping difficult it is.

do you have a stacked unprocessed image i can have a bash at, pref a tif or fit?

what s/w you using to stack with?

Had a play with it in MaxIm and also binned it, looks a lot better now (think the biggest improvment was the binning though )
